Spring festival has been inaugurated by Sreemangal Upazila Parishad and Municipality of Moulvibazar district.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md.Islam Uddin inaugurated the festival at Zila Parishad Auditorium ground on Thursday, February 13. Also present at this time were Upazila Parishad Engineer Md.Yusuf Hossain Khan, Municipal Executive Engineer Zahirul Islam, Project Implementation Officer Mohammad Asaduzzaman, jubo Unoyan Officer Asim Kumar Kar, cultural organizer Debashish Chowdhury Raja, Upazila Administrative Officer Mrinal Kanti Roy, individuals from various social organizations, cultural workers,Local Journalists and visitors of Sreemangal.
There are stalls of different types of pitha puli in the fair. Besides, cultural program has been organized from afternoon. After the inauguration, the guests visited each stall of the fair.Spring festival is celebrated in Sreemangal with grandeur like every year. . This festival is organized by Sreemangal Upazila Administration and Srimangal Municipality at Zilla Parishad Auditorium Premises. Spring festival 2025 is held at Sreemangal Zilla Parishad Auditorium Premises with patriotic songs, dances, recitations, and various pitha puli performances. Various cultural performances were held on this occasion. Local artists perform songs, dances and recitations. Apart from this, the youth participate with great enthusiasm in the exhibition and festival of various indigenous food products and pitha puli. They dress up in colorful clothes and enjoy the joy of spring. Also, various folk games and cultural programs are organized on the occasion.
Sreemangal Upazila Nirbahi officer. Islam Uddin said, “Spring brings new joy and enthusiasm in our lives. This festival is part of our culture and tradition. We organize this festival every year, so that the new generation can get familiar with our culture and it is a festival of Bengali soul. This year also the festival was successfully completed with the combined efforts of all .
